Conference weekend at the cabin

you are supposed to use something to go down this slide with speed, but the kids were having fun just scooting down it, so we just let them do it! 

this was a tender picture, mainly because this was right after we got inside the cabin after having a bear 20 feet away from our car!!! Mike was bringing stuff to the deck of the cabin because his mom wasn't there with the key yet, I had soup in a crock pot and other food that he left on the deck. Mike said that he could hear a big animal and could hear it heading toward the car where we were sitting with it running for heat, he didn't know whether to go save us, or taking the chance of us being safe in the car and running ;)  Meanwhile I had a bad feeling and locked the doors.( not thinking that a big animal was near) Mike made it back to the car, I unlocked it, he told me what he heard and we were trying to keep the kids quiet and we rolled down the window a crack to hear a high pitched bear growl (we watched like three bear documentaries just in the last couple weeks ironically so we were familiar with the noise)  we looked up and saw the bear standing up and then it went back down. It was so scary. We drove up and down the hill in front of our cabin to try to scare it off. 

Logan is obsessed with this house that is somewhat close to our house, so we walk and drive past it a lot. Luckily, Dee doesn't acknowledge them yet. 

If  Madden gets a hold of anything crinkly he gets so excited and shakes it :)
